Imperfect Pointes AW25 dancewear collection

Velvet details. Sculpted silhouettes. A milestone moment.

The first drop of the Imperfect Pointes AW25 collection has arrived—and it’s not just a seasonal refresh. This is a statement. A celebration of the dancers who have grown up with Imperfect Pointes every step of the way. A perfectly imperfect evolution, five years in the making.

Founder Helen Banks marks this anniversary with a collection that fuses signature design DNA with fresh intent: clean lines, considered fabrics, and a palette that dances between nostalgia and modernity.

Explore the hero styles and find out how this collection is really special, timed to coincide with Imperfect Pointes fifth anniversary. Yes ....where did the time go?

“Imperfect Pointes is all about building a stylish sustainable dance wardrobe", shares Helen Banks, Founder of the UK’s first purpose-driven dancewear brand

Following a string of sold-out summer drops, AW25 signals a shift: moodier tones, refined shapes, and the long-awaited arrival of menswear. After extensive testing, the Men’s Dance Tank Tops make their debut—cut to contour, built to last, and ready for studios everywhere.

Shades of the season

Whilst keeping a close eye on the key colour trends for Autumn/ Winter Helen has drawn on Imperfect Pointes timeless colour palette that dancers will want to wear for seasons to come, in keeping with our sustainable brand ethos

The AW25 works together because it’s built like a story arc rather than a random collection of pretty shades — each colour plays a distinct role, but they share enough tonal harmony and emotional depth to feel cohesive.

COLOUR STORY: FILM, CHERRY NOIR, MOCHA

This drop continues with three shades you love:

  • Film Blue – A soft retro blue that conjures cinematic nostalgia with a modern edge.

  • Cherry Noir – Deep, bold, and unapologetically powerful.

  • Mocha – A signature neutral, reimagined. Rich enough to flatter a wide range of skin tones, subtle enough to let movement take centre stage.

Mocha brings a sense of quiet confidence to the studio — it’s the colour of focus, balance, and inner strength. In movement, the soft matte tone enhances the fluid lines of the dancer. It's become your go-to neutral.

The Halter Moment

Meet the two new styles Kuta and Henderson - Helen admits she was first asked to make a Halter Neck leotard back in 2022 and is still not sure why she only just got around to creating not one, but two!  Unsurprisingly, the new leotards have been tested rigorously on dancers from London City Ballet, English National Ballet and the Royal Ballet Upper School, since Imperfect Pointes is all about getting that precise fit in premium recycled materials.

Also joining the line-up is the Mersey leotard—now available in Oyster Pink with a deep ruched back, moving from Customiser favourite to ready-to-wear staple. And for those (still!) leaning into balletcore minimalism, the new strappy camisole leotard arrives in Mocha with blush accents—clean, graceful, and what's more we added an extra bit of length to the torso for superior  comfort.

VELVET, REIMAGINED

For the first time, velvet enters the Imperfect Pointes world—not as excess, but as elevation.

"I’ve avoided velvet in the past because I couldn't find a recycled option that met our standards,” Helen explains. “Then I found a stash of deadstock velvet trims in our Yorkshire factory and knew they were meant to be repurposed for this exciting collection."

These luxe trims bring a tactile finish to select AW25 pieces:

  • Henderson in Film/Navy Velvet and Mocha/Cherry Noir Velvet

  • Marseille, will be reissued in Film with Navy velvet and ruched back (a first)

  • Barcelona, coming in limited-edition striking red with matching velvet trim

Look out for the limited release of the Marseille and Barcelona ANNIVERSARY EDITION leotards which will be  in very limited numbers, in time for our 5th birthday at the start of November.

All styles are crafted in small batches. No waste, no compromise. Just timeless design—thoughtfully made in the family-run Yorkshire factory where it all began. We can’t wait to share this, our best collection yet.
