Position: Imperfect Pointes Digital Marketing / E-commerce Executive
Salary: £23,500 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: up to 18 hours per week
Location: Stockport / Manchester Centre and WFH HYBRID or can be fully remote
Start Date: immediate start – for a minimum of 6 months (with a view to become
permanent)


Imperfect Pointes is seeking a proactive, organised Digital Marketing / E-commerce Executive for a rewarding role in cult sustainable dancewear start-up brand.

You will focus on SEO, link building, creating and maintaining pages for our Shopify site, content including blogs and digital PR. In addition, you will support the email marketing.


This is a rewarding new P/T FREELANCER role max 18 hours per week - the right candidate will be self-motivated, a good planner and able to manage their workload effectively.


For the right person we can be fully flexible. You will be working alongside a Brand and Marketing Director with 20 years’ experience in Fashion and Sportwear - turned startup business owner / entrepreneur. This is a micro business of 3 employees, which this means you will get real first hand experience across the whole marketing mix and an opportunity to make an impact from Day 1.


The brand is 4 years old and is run on a sustainable business model, so it is important you are a good cultural fit to our values. You'll be supported by a results driven leader with a growth mindset looking to make a difference in the dancewear industry. We are not looking for ballet dancers, we are looking for some top-class digital skills but dance industry experience will help:)


JOB PURPOSE:
Growing Imperfect Pointes through developing and implementing the whole Digital Marketing mix. Working with the SEO agency, you’ll develop SEO strategies to improve our website's visibility, drive organic traffic, and increase conversion rates. You will be responsible for creating high-quality, engaging content such as blogs that align with our brand and resonate with multiple target audiences.


You will work alongside our Shopify agency and update and maintain the Shopify site.
You will oversee our email marketing strategy and support the Founder to ensure that we deliver fantastic highly engaging emails going out to our subscribers and engaged community list 3-4 times per week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content, Technical SEO and Digital PR

  • Using your knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, and ranking factors, you will help increase the brand’s traffic, brand awareness and visibility
  • Experience with common SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs,SEMrush,etc.
  • Keyword research
  • To develop onsite content/ blog posts to increase traffic to our website based around popular search queries we can answer on site.
  • Conducting technical audits for website
  • Using AI to improve Imperfect Pointes operations and keeping up to date with developments in this new and rapidly changing area.

Managing our Shopify site and CRO

  • Working with our Shopify agency and carry out website improvements
  • Monitor conversion of key landing pages to improve where necessary
  • Product optimisation on Shopify site - Must be proficient with Shopify basics
  • Make changes to products and collections on our website
  • Email marketing (training will be given but desirable to have a good understanding of this key channel)
  • Planning and creating weekly / monthly email content that drives sales revenue
  • Building automations within Omnisend
  • Monitoring and reporting on the email marketing results
  • Have some experience of segmentation, compiling Customer newsletters/ emails using a recognised platform – Imperfect Pointes uses Omnisend.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the business and commercial world. If you have some experience of working in a retail environment that would be desirable.
  • A proactive self-starter with a problem-solving attitude and the ability to manage your time effectively and prioritise tasks.
  • Understanding of how to report on SEO performance and communicate the info to stakeholders
  • Knowledge of acquiring links and spotting link opportunities
  • Understanding of how SEO interacts with other marketing channels, such as email, PPC and Paid Social
  • Know your way around Shopify basics- back end – not just as a consumer
  • Basic email marketing
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics / analytics tools

DESIRABLE

Some experience of working in a retail environment online or bricks and mortar stores.

18 hours per week – hours to be to be negotiated / HYBRID working / own laptop required.

Imperfect Pointes is already worn by some internationally renowned dancers. Our tights are worn by ENB and Royal Danish Ballet, and we have previously had collaborations with Royal Ballet dancers and an activewear collab with the Royal Opera & Ballet.


This role is a part time / flexible position initially offered on a freelance basis. We aim to offer it to the person who is the best fit, but special consideration will be given to underrepresented candidates.


Role Includes dancewear allowance and travel / expenses budget
